Grandma's Favourites'.
We are a group of 5 , Sinead and Rena (sisters), Liam ,Bernice and Kathrina (sisters and brother) but most of all we are cousins who have shared heartache when the word Cancer is mentioned. Our Grandmothrer, Mothers's and their 2 sisters, all 5 of them died from Cancer. We have done a lot of step challenges together, expecially during Covid which we found kept us going and was a bit of fun. Liam lives in Chicago while the rest of us live in Kildare and Offaly. We decided to do this challenge to raise awareness for Cancer and hopefully some money too but mostly we are doing it for us, to keep us active while also trying to reach the target of 100kms and having fun throughout June. Yes we will have difficult days and it will be emotional but we know our mothers and Aunts will be keeping a close eye on us and watching over us.
Stay tune for loads of updates on our progress.
Thank you to everyone that has encouraged us on way to hitting the 100km and a BIG THANK YOU for all your donations so far. We never expected this and we are so grateful for all your kindness. We are nearly half way through this challenge and we intend to make a big push for the next 2 1/2 weeks.
So please keep sharing our profile for all to see.
Total KM's so far are 402.1 !
Wow what a week! Just uploaded our kilometers and YES we have achieved our Goal of 100kmin30days and we still have 10days left. Some of the gang went away to Ibiza for a few days break but still continued with the km's (photos below) and what a week they had. Well done Ladies. Our brother / cousin in Chicago stepped out the km's on the golf course although I am led to believe he spent a lot of time in the trees ! No wonder his km's were excellent last week.
With 10 days to go before the month and this challenge comes to an end please, please keep sharing our page and invite people to donate. Every little bit helps.
Again, thank you to eveyone who has encouraged us on this journey and for all your kind donations.
Who will have the most KM's by June 30th?
Stayed tuned to find out!!!!!!
Wow! We have clocked up 855.6 km all together and each of us have hit our intended milestone of 100km. HOWEVER we are not finished. We hope to reach 1000km by the end of this challenge which is 4 DAYS away. Yes, you read correctly only 4 DAYS away . We need to put a huge effort in now so please, please like and share our journey and we might even hit €3,000.
